Selecta UK is part of the Selecta Group, the largest European vending operator. With the head office in Switzerland, Selecta is present in over 24 countries across Europe and generates about ? 700M in operating revenue.
What did OAKLEY do for Selecta?
In 2003 OAKLEY were asked to provide a logistics system to operate Selecta's vending business. No system was available for the specific task and it became quickly apparent that the interface between sales and logistics was equally important in the process of selling and installing machines at client premises. After consultation it was apparent that the Sage CRM MME system could handle at least 50% of the tasks, specifically related to sales tasks andworkflow, leaving OAKLEY to deliver the customised functionality to meet the individual demands of the logistics system.
The development enables sales people to choose the type of deal, input the machine types and accessories and then move the sale on to the next level in the organisation for approval. Once approved the system creates all necessary tasks and purchase orders to the various suppliers and monitors the installation of the machines, generating machine ID's and even second user/trial machines.
This is another example of OAKLEY using existing products to build powerful solutions.
