What did OAKLEY do for IKON?

OAKLEY provided the original e-commerce solution based on the Virtual Reseller platform in September 2001. In September 2006, the new version of IKONstore was developed to provide integration to IKON's internal Oracle 11i system and to integrate with 5 suppliers data catalogues. The importance of this tool for IKON will be further enhanced with the addition of consumable orders that are part of a clients contract with IKON. The Virtual Reseller platform is so versatile that it becomes the client interface for all on-line business with the back-end integration to multiple interfaces. As a B2B only solution, the system is enabled to have exclusive catalogues per client, set by product category or manufacturer, dependant on the specific requirements of the end user. The ability for multiple level authorisations is another part of the system that ensures only users authorised to spend money can place an order through the site. All orders from non-authorised users are put on hold pending authorisation and the whole system is driven by workflow contained within Virtual Reseller.
