Oakley Mobile is pleased to announce that the RAC Traffic App has reached the impressive milestone of 20 million active requests for traffic data.

Since launching the first version of the RAC Traffic App on iPhone and Android back in early 2010 we have now reached this fantastic landmark, approximately 2 years later.

The 20 million active requests are for actual traffic data, so this means individuals actively using the RAC application and not just turning on the app and shutting it down. If ever you wanted a story on customer retention through mobile and the benefits of providing a function within your app that becomes a part of peoples daily routines, the RAC Traffic app proves just that.

Windows Phone 7 RAC Traffic App

We have recently launched the RAC Traffic app on Windows Phone 7 and are hopeful that Windows Phone users will start to see the same benefits of the live traffic data, when planning their journeys.
